HOW MUCH DO WEDDING FLOWERS COST?

BUDGET! The topic you don't want to talk about. But let’s dip our toes in...

Everyone's idea of a budget is different, so it can be hard to navigate this topic. Weddings are different sizes and in different floral seasons, so set package prices are not an option for floral designers. Each wedding is unique and requires a customized quote based on the overall vision and needs of the wedding.

What are the main things that go into the cost of your wedding flowers that you should consider?

Flowers and foliage are grown around the world and locally by farmers to produce beautiful, strong, and long lasting stems. They need to be shipped and stored in controlled environments to maintain their lifespan and quality. As styles come and go, the demand on certain flowers or foliage drives up the price because of availability.

This is the PRODUCT you are paying for.

Floral Designers invest a lot of time into the "design process". They use their extensive knowledge and experience to navigate the seasons and availability, unique color pallets, and budget of the client. Each florist has their own style that will be reflected in the design process and usually put in 4 days of production labour for each wedding. They construct many odd contraptions to securely fix installations and need a strong engineering and problem solving mindset. Flowers are delicate and finicky things that require an experienced hand to care for them, keep them alive, time the opening of the blooms perfectly for your wedding day, and safely deliver and install your wedding creations to be picture perfect.

This is the SERVICE you are paying for.
